Ellie went to the Dallas Arboretum this weekend with some friends. They had fun walking around, taking pictures of things and enjoying the beautiful outdoors.

Mom's Birthday
Today we celebrated Mom's birthday. We had quiche and coffeecake for breakfast, and then went to church. Then we had lunch with Butch and Mary Lou Cope. Also, Amy came home again this weekend for the Dallas Acquire the Fire, so we got to see her again.

Easter Weekend
Amy came home on Thursday and was able to spend Easter with us. On Friday we went to see The Blind Side, and had dinner at El Fenix, and went to a bookstore in Denton. On Saturday, Ellie and Clara went with Amy to help a friend with her carwash. On Sunday we made food, and went to church, and finished the food, and ate the food.
This is Lloyd the Turkey. It's become a tradition now, to brine our turkeys in apple cider and to name them.

Spring and ECC
The ECC semester is over for Mom and us girls. Since it's Melissa's senior year, she won't be coming back to ECC as a student again! It's sad, but also exciting to see what God does in her life in the future.
But what is this picture of snow doing in a post about spring? Well, Texas has pretty crazy weather. It snowed yet again on the second day of spring!
The weather has been warming up though, with wind and sunshine. It's nice to be outdoors again!

Ellie and Clara and some other girls worked on weeding in the front and back yards of our house to raise money for the India mission trip they are planning to go on this summer. (If you want to help Ellie and Clara go, contact us for more information.)
The weather has been warmer lately, and the sun staying up later, so Dad has been working outdoors more.

They explored Old Downtown Carrollton, browsing the antique store and the vintage dress store.
At Vintage Martini, the clothes store.
They made individual pizzas for dinner.
They had frozen custard at Shake's.
They watched The Scarlet Pimpernel, slept, went to church, and to a book sale. Then they had lunch, and cake and ice cream, and opened presents.

Carrots
This morning we picked all of these carrots from our garden. I didn't even know we were still growing things!
